Our photos are stunning! I had very few responsibilities while planning the wedding thanks to my wedding planner, but picking the photographer was something I wanted to do. I'm so glad I did! Emily Merrill photographed our wedding at Viansa Winery in Sonoma and she was absolutely amazing! From the moment we met her we knew that we wanted to work with her. Aside from her unbelievable talent and love for what she does....she is so easy going and fun to work with. Our destination wedding was held at the Clift Hotel in San Francisco. Let’s face it, planning a destination wedding can be stressful. It was obvious from our first meeting that Emily knew exactly what are vision was for our wedding. On the day of our wedding she hit the ground running and captured every single photo on my shot list and more! Working with her was an absolute joy. Emily Merrill is such a talented photographer and truly a wonderful, lovely person to have as part of your wedding day. We had such a great experience working with her. She’s great at giving direction and helping you relax and be yourself in front of the camera. None of our photos look overly posed. Everyone and everything looks natural and her use of light is fantastic. The framing and composition come naturally to her. Her style is unique and classic at the same time. We loved the use of candid and classic portraits. Your wedding day is stressful and timing is everything. Emily was able to pick out the best settings and backdrops for our photos and achieve all of my requests before the ceremony! It was great to have the family and bridal portraits done so that after our “I do’s” we were able to focus on our sunset wedding portraits. She had so many great ideas for us and I am completely blown away by my emotions when I saw the results. Her photos look rich, alive, and you can truly feel the love and happiness from your day when looking at them. You can tell she is truly passionate about capturing people just as they are.
